Salary:
Our salaries for associates are highly competitive. For specific information regarding starting salaries, please refer to the Contact Us section for the contacts in the office of your choice.
 
Benefits:
The following benefits apply to Associate Attorneys and Patent Agents only.
  • Medical Coverage - The firm offers comprehensive medical coverage to all employees for a nominal cost. In most offices, employees have the option of choosing HMO or OAP coverage for themselves and their dependents. In some offices, only PPO coverage is available.
  • Prescription Drug Coverage - In connection with each of our medical plans, the firm provides a prescription drug program.
  • Dental Insurance - Our dental plan allows employees to select either DMO or PPO coverage.
  • Vision Insurance - through Vision Service Plan (VSP).
  • Dependent Care Reimbursement Account - Under this program an employee can set aside pre-tax dollars to pay for dependent care expenses.
  • Medical Reimbursement Account - Under this program an employee can set aside pre-tax dollars to pay for unreimbursed medical, dental or vision expenses.
  • Domestic Partner Medical, Dental and Vision Benefits
  • Employee Assistance Plan (EAP) - This program provides confidential counseling and referral assistance to help employees cope with a variety of personal and family issues.
  • Life Insurance
  • Long Term Disability Insurance - The firm provides long-term disability insurance, which pays up to 60% of pre-disability income.
  • Credit Union
  • 401(k) Savings Plan - This Plan offers an opportunity for employees to save a percentage of their gross compensation on a tax-deferred basis, subject to certain IRS Code limitations.
  • Long-Tenure Bonus Leave Program - Attorneys are eligible for six consecutive weeks Sabbatical Leave after ten years.
  • Relocation Expenses - If currently living at least 60 miles from our office, we will pay "reasonable" expenses such as moving company expenses, car shipping or mileage, air fare or other transportation costs, and storage. An associate may also choose temporary corporate housing or costs connected with an apartment-hunting trip.
  • Bar Reimbursement - We will pay for both State Bar and Patent Bar review courses, exams, fees & dues.
