Stanley W. Sokoloff is one of the founding partners of the firm in 1975. He is actively involved in assisting clients in setting up intellectual property programs, including, patent, trademark and intellectual property programs. He also provides counseling for clients regarding strategies for searching, filing, protecting and licensing patents, trademarks and copyrights.

In addition, Stanley is also involved in the searching, selection and prosecution of trademark matters in the United States and in foreign countries, in conjunction with associates in such countries. Such trademark activities also include representation in trademark oppositions and cancellation proceedings and license preparation and negotiation. He has represented clients in various fields of endeavor, including technology, entertainment (both individuals and companies) and consumer product companies. Stanley was a former Patent Examiner at the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office.

He has been a speaker at various meetings and conferences regarding intellectual property matters and has served as an arbitrator and expert witness in litigation matters involving patents and trademarks.

He earned a Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering from Worcester Polytechnic Institute; a Juris Doctor Degree in Law, with honors, from Suffolk University; and, a Masters Degree in Law from the Georgetown Law Center.
