Lori is a member of the Trademark Practice Group.  Her practice encompasses a wide variety of intellectual property matters, including strategic management of trademark and copyright assets and related client counseling; evaluating trademark clearance searches and preparing legal opinions regarding availability; supervising the preparation, filing and prosecution of domestic and international trademark applications; drafting and negotiating trademark and copyright agreements; handling trademark enforcement matters, including opposition and cancellation proceedings before the Trademark Trial and Appeal Board of the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office; handling domain name disputes, and conducting due diligence reviews of intellectual property assets.

Lori has extensive experience in managing large U.S. and international trademark portfolios in the fields of computers and technology, entertainment and multimedia, construction products, apparel, food and beverages, and health and fitness products.  She strives to develop strategies to avoid counterproductive trademark and copyright disputes, and to help clients develop sound strategies for trademark selection, procurement, maintenance, enforcement and portfolio management.

Before joining BSTZ, Lori was a Trademark Examining Attorney at the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office, where she examined and ruled upon trademark applications for registration, and represented the Office in ex parte appeals before the Trademark Trial and Appeal Board.
