Kevin Shao is a member of the Patent Practice Group.  Kevin is a registered patent attorney practicing in the areas of computer hardware and software, mechanical devices, networking devices, and electronics, including patents, licensing, due diligence, patent validity and infringement analyses and opinions, and intellectual property counseling.
Prior to becoming an attorney, Kevin worked as an engineering professional for more than ten years for a variety of companies, including as an electrical engineer at International Power Devices (acquired by Power-One), a developer at Keithley Metrabyte (a subsidiary of Keithley Instruments), and a software consultant at Intel Corporation and Motorola, Inc.

Kevin’s years of experience in the technology industries allow him to quickly understand both the technical aspects of the inventions and the business issues surrounding them.

Kevin has drafted patents in the areas of networking, communications, computer software and hardware, mechanical inventions, Internet related applications, and electrical/electronic technologies.
