Joan O. Arbolante is a member of the Patent Practice Group. She is a registered patent attorney whose practice focuses on intellectual property matters including patent preparation and prosecution of domestic and foreign patent applications and support for patent litigation. Joan’s technology areas of emphasis include: hardware for electronics and computers, semiconductor manufacturing, networking systems and hardware, storage management software, storage hardware, wireless communications systems and devices, Internet technologies, and business methods.

Prior to becoming an attorney, Joan worked as a test engineer designing networking hardware test systems at 3Com Corporation, as a product management specialist at Legato Systems, Inc. overseeing the qualification of enterprise storage management software with various storage devices, and as a associate product manager at a storage service provider start-up providing SAN and NAS solutions.

During law school, Joan worked as a judicial extern for the Honorable A. James Robertson II of the San Francisco Superior Court and as a law clerk at Yahoo!, Inc.
