founding, the Firm has maintained an in-house International Filing
group. Over the years the department has grown and is currently
staffed by a team of specialists in two offices, with expertise
in all facets of foreign patent and trademark filing, including
CTM filings. Applications for foreign patents are filed under
the Patent Cooperation Treaty, as well as directly in numerous
industrialized nations abroad.
Counseling
our clients on protecting their intellectual property rights in
Asia and the European Community is an area in which the Firm is
particularly effective. Our expertise includes determining the
available scope of trademark protection in foreign jurisdictions,
assessing the potential market for patented inventions, and the
preparation and prosecution of international patent and trademark
applications. The Firm's attorneys frequently interact with U.S.
Customs personnel to assure that our clients' goods bearing registered
trademarks are protected from infringement.
